Mr. Jones attended North Carolina State University, receiving his B.S. in Materials Engineering in 1970. He continued his education at the University of Virginia (M.S. in Materials Science, 1973), and later at West Virginia University (J.D., 1975). His state bar admissions include West Virginia in 1975 and Kentucky in 1991.
Chuck Jones is a resident in the firm's Huntington, WV office. He represents primarily banks and other lenders to enforce their rights as creditors in bankruptcy cases. He also represents businesses and individuals to enforce their rights as creditors.
Mr. Jones is active in the community as a Board member of the Maier Foundation and Kanawha State Forest Foundation. He recently served as president of the Rotary Club of Charleston and has been, since 1991, organist for Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he earlier served as Financial Secretary and, currently, Treasurer. Mr. Jones is a member of a significant fraternal organization of which he was Potentate in 1999. He is a road cyclist and completed his 17th consecutive 150-mile fund-raising ride for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in 2010. He plays trombone with the Kanawha County Community Band. Mr. Jones and his wife, Gaytha, have one son, Chad, a physician who is in an orthopedics residency at Little Rock, Arkansas, where he lives with his wife, Megan and granddaughter Audrey.
